Have you stopped to take a good look at these beings, to think about them? Do it for a moment. Look at their structure, their movement, analyze them from a distance. They are really strange.
Through charcoal, with broken and fragmented lines, I have tried to represent these ghosts of the sea. They seem solid and sharp, and at the same time they are really fragile creatures. A good metaphor for life, or how we want to understand it.
Carried by his small body, between currents that he cannot control, he moves persistently forward. The subtle green spots, applied in acrylic, suggest the marine environment and the life that flows around him. Like bubbles rising to the surface, they add movement and vitality to the composition, contrasting with the static figure.
This strange being, as if from another world, reminds me of the play between the big and the small, the fragile and the strong and, in the end, the drift to which we are all subjected without being aware of it.
