I decided to explore the concept of the 'space human' because it aroused in me many emotions related to deep existential questions.
The archetypal figure of a cosmonaut, in his suit, hiding someone anonymous underneath, is like a representation of humanity itself, of all of us. Weight and lightness coexisting equally. The desire for conquest and the reality of our fragility. The figure maintains a melancholic and dejected position that I wanted to contrast with a vibrant color and brushstroke to support this game of contrasts.
I especially like the color white as a background, suggesting an infinity without coordinates or stars; an undefined space for a universal symbol of the human being, with the constant impetus to venture beyond the known, which inevitably confronts him with immensity.
