The 'spectral' paintings are, for me, outstanding within my work. They can be independent, but they were really conceived by me as a diptych, an inseparable composition in which they need each other.
 
Everything is a play of light and color that simply leaves the subtle suggestion of a being that seems to be formed by nebulae, as if each part of its body were made of stars in formation. I wanted to concentrate all the chromatic force possible by confronting it with a deep black background: the pure absence of color, the emptiness of the universe.
 
In the face of this apparition, the solidity of bodies and the density of matter are called into question. We are, in reality, spectra that only exist through the interaction of fleeting elements in a random and perfect instant. This painting tells the story of what remains, even when everything else disappears.
