This portrait evolves naturally as a sequel to the artwork 'Natantis', which I painted years earlier. It was a spontaneous and intuitive work that marked an important turning point in my style and subject matter. The others were born from it. 'Natantis' had to do with water, and this other portrait, 'Natura', is configured as its terrestrial half, and completes the dyad.
